(UL) 333 P?ngsten Road Northbrook, IL 60062-2096 UL Standard for Safety for Grounding and Bonding Equipment, UL 467 Ninth Edition, Dated September 21, 2007 Summary of Topics This new edition of ANSI/UL 467 harmonizes UL and CSA requirements for grounding and bonding equipment. The following summarizes the changes: ? This new edition has been reorganized to be consistent with the harmonized standards for Wire Connectors (UL 486A-486B) and Splicing Wire Connectors (UL 486C), for speci?c tests applicable to grounding and bonding equipment; ? Minimum sample requirements for testing have been clari?ed and organized into a new section; ? Short time test current table has been expanded to include smaller and larger wire sizes, aluminum conductors, and a formula was added for additional sizes; tr1 ? Flammability requirements for throat liners realigned to correspond with related requirements in the Standard for Conduit, Tubing, and Cable Fittings, UL 514B; ? The section on ground rod electrodes was reorganized and aligned with present practices and allowances; and ? The markings on ground clamps are more detailed, including those for re-bar. UL Standards for Safety are developed and maintained in the Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML). SGML -- an international standard (ISO 8879-1986) -- is a descriptive markup language that describes a document’s structure and purpose, rather than its physical appearance on a page. Due to formatting differences resulting from the use of UL’s new electronic publishing system, please note that additional pages (on which no requirements have been changed) may be included in revision pages due to relocation of existing text and reformatting of the Standard. The new and revised requirements are substantially in accordance with UL’s Proposal(s) on this subject dated September 15, 2006 and February 9, 2007.
